I live and work on a farm between Cheltenham and Gloucester, with a husband and two dogs. I have exhibited regularly at the Cheltenham Outdoor Art Exhibition, The Gloucestershire Society of Artists and Fosseway Artists, The Gardens Gallery in Cheltenham, Cheltenham Open Studios and Gloucester Cathedral. I have also exhibited as part of The Broadway Arts Festival at Little Buckland Gallery.
I work in watercolour and oils, inspired by beauty in landscape and seascape but love to include some human, or animal interest, exploring how they may appear as misfits, or meld into their environment. Alternatively, flowers or trees may be highlighted, or even placed in the false landscape of a still life.
I always endeavour to capture the light by working with colour and tone and mostly use my own photographs as reference – my camera is often my sketchbook, with which I capture living moments in order to translate the mystery and beauty of the living landscape onto canvas or paper.
